Drug intelligence / Profile preview
e-Voke is an electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) developed by Nicovations, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco (BAT). It is designed as a nicotine delivery system to aid in smoking cessation and the reduction of tobacco consumption. Unlike the Voke inhaler, which is a pressurized nicotine delivery device, e-Voke is a battery-powered electronic device that vaporizes a nicotine-containing solution for inhalation. In late 2015, e-Voke became the first e-cigarette to be granted a medicines license by the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), allowing it to be marketed as a regulated therapeutic option for smokers looking to quit or reduce their tobacco consumption.
