Overview

e137 is a human monoclonal antibody developed by Pomona Ricerca for the treatment and prevention of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It targets the highly conserved AR3 region of the HCV E2 envelope glycoprotein, a critical site for viral entry. By binding to this region, e137 exhibits broad-spectrum neutralizing activity against diverse HCV genotypes and strains. Currently in preclinical development, e137 is being explored as a biologic therapy to address challenges associated with direct-acting antiviral resistance and limited treatment access, often being developed alongside other antibodies like e20.
