Overview

E39 peptide + GM-CSF vaccine is a synthetic peptide-based therapeutic cancer vaccine composed of the E39 peptide (also known as GALE 301), which is derived from the folate binding protein (FBP), and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) as an adjuvant. The E39 peptide is HLA-A2-restricted and targets FBP, a tumor-associated antigen overexpressed in several cancers including endometrial and ovarian cancer. The combination aims to stimulate a robust T-cell mediated immune response against FBP-expressing tumor cells. Clinical studies have shown that this combination emits strong dose-dependent immunogenicity with promising early efficacy in preventing recurrence among disease-free patients with endometrial or ovarian cancer[1][2][3]. The regimen consists of six monthly intradermal inoculations.
