Drug intelligence / Profile preview
E7777 + CHOP is a combination regimen consisting of **E7777 (improved purity denileukin diftitox, a recombinant fusion protein)** and **CHOP chemotherapy** (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone/prednisone). E7777 targets cells expressing the interleukin-2 receptor (CD25) by fusing diphtheria toxin fragments with human interleukin-2, leading to selective cytotoxicity via receptor-mediated internalization and inhibition of protein synthesis. CHOP is a well-known multi-agent chemotherapy that includes an alkylating agent (cyclophosphamide), an anthracycline (doxorubicin), a vinca alkaloid (vincristine), and a corticosteroid (prednisolone or prednisone), all of which have cytotoxic effects on rapidly dividing lymphoma cells. The primary indications for E7777 are cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (including persistent and recurrent forms)[5], while CHOP is primarily used in lymphomas, notably peripheral T-cell lymphoma and diffusive large B-cell lymphoma. E7777 is developed and manufactured by Citius Pharmaceuticals (following acquisition from Eisai), and CHOP drugs are generic and manufactured by various pharmaceutical companies.
