Overview

EAL2200 is an agricultural therapeutic candidate developed by iNtRON Biotechnology (also known as Intron Therapeutics) using a proprietary microalgae-based platform. The program is designed to address infections caused by agricultural pathogens, specifically the plant pathogen *Erwinia amylovora* (the causative agent of fire blight in pome fruits) and the foodborne/livestock pathogen *Salmonella* species. The microalgae platform likely serves as a bio-factory or delivery vehicle for antimicrobial agents, such as endolysins or other therapeutic proteins, tailored for agricultural and livestock applications. As of the current pipeline status, EAL2200 is in the early stages of development for these agricultural indications.
