Overview

EAPB0203 is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the imidazo[1,2-a]quinoxaline family, developed as a structural analogue of imiquimod. It exhibits potent antiproliferative activity against various cancer cell lines, most notably human melanoma. The drug functions as a microtubule-disrupting agent by binding directly to the colchicine binding site on beta-tubulin, which inhibits tubulin polymerization. This interference with microtubule dynamics leads to cell cycle arrest in the G2 and M phases and subsequently induces apoptosis. EAPB0203 is considered a promising anticancer candidate due to its specific mechanism of action and cytotoxic efficacy.
