Overview

EAPB0503 is a synthetic imidazo[1,2-a]quinoxaline derivative and a structural analogue of the immunomodulator imiquimod. It functions as a potent microtubule-disrupting agent by binding directly to the colchicine binding site on β-tubulin, thereby inhibiting tubulin polymerization. This mechanism of action leads to the disruption of the microtubule network, resulting in cell cycle arrest at the G2 and M phases and the induction of apoptosis. EAPB0503 has demonstrated significant antiproliferative activity against various cancer cell lines, particularly human melanoma, and is being investigated as a potential antineoplastic drug candidate.
