Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ear Itch MD Plus (also known as Ear Itch MD +PLUS) is an over-the-counter (OTC) topical anti-itch ear spray developed by Eosera. The active ingredient is hydrocortisone 1%, a low-potency corticosteroid that acts as an agonist of the glucocorticoid receptor. By binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, hydrocortisone modulates gene transcription to reduce the synthesis of pro-inflammatory mediators and increase the expression of anti-inflammatory proteins. This action effectively suppresses inflammatory and allergic skin responses, providing temporary relief from itching, irritation, and inflammation in and around the ear canal. Ear Itch MD Plus is indicated for minor skin irritations, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and rashes in or around the ear, and is formulated with soothing inactive ingredients such as aloe, colloidal oatmeal, and turmeric.
