Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ear Wax MD is an over-the-counter (OTC) cerumenolytic otic solution developed by Eosera for the clearance of excess earwax (cerumen) buildup. The formulation contains a proprietary blend of ingredients including water, glycerin, sodium bicarbonate, glycolic acid, potassium bicarbonate, benzyl alcohol, and benzalkonium chloride. It works by breaking down and dissolving the lipids and proteins that make up earwax, facilitating its easy removal. It is marketed as topical ear drops, sometimes packaged with a rinse bulb, and is also available in a formulation for children (Ear Wax MD for Kids).
