Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Easy Five is a liquid pentavalent vaccine developed by Panacea Biotec for the active immunization of infants against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, and invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). The vaccine is a combination of five components: diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, inactivated whole-cell Bordetella pertussis, recombinant Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), and Hib capsular polysaccharide (PRP) conjugated to a tetanus toxoid carrier. It is typically administered as a three-dose primary series in infants starting at six weeks of age. By combining these five antigens into a single injection, Easy Five simplifies the pediatric vaccination schedule, reduces the number of clinic visits, and improves overall immunization coverage and compliance.
