Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Easyeye Dry is a high-dose omega-3 dietary supplement specifically formulated with a high ratio of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) to eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Developed by Korea CNS Pharm, it is intended for the management of dry eye disease (DED) associated with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). The supplement contains 1640 mg of DHA and 600 mg of EPA per daily dose (two capsules). It functions by modulating inflammatory and immune responses, specifically by inhibiting the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-1 (IL-1) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha). Additionally, the high DHA content is thought to lower the melting point of meibomian lipids, thereby increasing the fluidity and secretion of meibum and stabilizing the tear film. Clinical trial data indicates that an 8-week regimen significantly improves tear break-up time (TBUT) and MGD scores in patients with mild to moderate dry eye.
