Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EB-101 is a small molecule drug candidate being developed by Elastin Biosciences for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Developed using a cheminformatics-driven platform, EB-101 is designed to restore tissue structural integrity by boosting the production of elastin and fortifying the elastin-based extracellular matrix. This mechanism aims to counteract the degradation of elastin, which is a critical pathological feature in various cardiovascular conditions. As of early 2024, EB-101 has successfully completed proof-of-concept studies and is currently in the IND-enabling phase of development.
