Overview

EB-BH2026 is an investigational dual-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Essen Biotech for the treatment of T-cell hematologic malignancies. It is engineered to target two specific T-cell surface antigens, CD5 (cluster of differentiation 5) and CD7 (cluster of differentiation 7), which are frequently expressed in malignant T cells. By targeting both antigens, EB-BH2026 aims to overcome the limitations of single-antigen CAR-T therapies, such as antigen escape or downregulation, by providing a broader therapeutic window for target recognition. The therapy is typically administered intravenously following a lymphodepleting chemotherapy regimen, such as fludarabine and cyclophosphamide. EB-BH2026 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials for patients with relapsed or refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL), and other aggressive T-cell malignancies.
