Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EB005 is a first-in-class, topical CRISPR-based therapeutic being developed by Eligo Bioscience for the treatment of acne by selectively editing the skin microbiome. It is designed to deliver CRISPR machinery to cutaneous bacteria implicated in acne pathogenesis, thereby reducing or eliminating pathogenic strains while sparing the rest of the microbiota, with the goal of providing a targeted, durable, and microbiome-sparing alternative to conventional antibiotics and retinoids.
