Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EB01 Cream Placebo is the vehicle control formulation used in clinical trials for EB01 (daniluromer), a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory treatment developed by Edesa Biotech. EB01 itself is a first-in-class small molecule inhibitor of secretory phospholipase 2 (sPLA2), an enzyme family that initiates inflammatory cascades. The placebo cream is identical in composition to the active EB01 cream but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredient (0% w/w). It has been utilized in Phase 2 clinical studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy of EB01 in patients with moderate-to-severe chronic allergic contact dermatitis (ACD).
