Overview

EB051 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), an immune checkpoint molecule. Developed by Beijing Dongfang Baitai Biotechnology, EB051 is designed to enhance the body's immune response against cancer cells by inhibiting the interaction between CTLA-4 and its ligands, CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2). This blockade prevents the inhibitory signaling that normally suppresses T-cell activity, thereby promoting T-cell activation, proliferation, and enhanced anti-tumor immune responses. EB051 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
