Overview

EB06 is a fully human monoclonal antibody designed to target and neutralize the C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10), also known as Interferon gamma-induced protein 10 (IP-10). Developed by Edesa Biotech, it is being investigated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe nonsegmental vitiligo. CXCL10 is a chemokine highly expressed in the skin and serum of vitiligo patients, where it plays a critical role in the recruitment of autoreactive T-cells and the maintenance of autoimmune lesions. By binding to and trapping CXCL10 in the circulatory system, EB06 renders the chemokine biologically inactive and prevents its interaction with its receptor (CXCR3). This mechanism is intended to reduce immune-mediated melanocyte destruction and allow for repigmentation.
