Overview

EB1004 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody being developed by Eden Biologics (formerly JHL Biotech) that targets interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23). It is a recombinant, fully human IgG1κ monoclonal antibody designed to match the reference product, ustekinumab (Stelara). By binding to the p40 subunit shared by IL-12 and IL-23, EB1004 prevents these cytokines from binding to their receptors on T-cells, thereby inhibiting the inflammatory signaling pathways involved in autoimmune diseases. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of plaque psoriasis and Crohn's disease.
