Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EB618 is an investigational oral dual agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucagon receptors, developed through a collaboration between Entera Bio and OPKO Health. The drug candidate combines OPKO’s oxyntomodulin analog (OPK-88006) with Entera’s proprietary N-Tab® oral delivery platform. By activating both GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, EB618 is designed to induce weight loss through appetite suppression and increased energy expenditure, while also improving glycemic control. It is primarily being developed for the treatment of obesity and other metabolic disorders, aiming to provide the efficacy of injectable dual agonists in a more convenient oral tablet format.
