Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EB9092 is a small molecule glycomacrolide being developed by EmpathBio for the treatment of leukemia and solid tumors. It specifically targets the F subunit of the ATP synthase/hydrolase complex, an essential component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain responsible for ATP synthesis. By inhibiting this subunit, EB9092 disrupts the energy metabolism of cancer cells, which often exhibit increased reliance on mitochondrial function for survival and resistance to therapy. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
