ebdarokimab

Ebdarokimab is a **fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody** that targets the p40 subunit of interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23) cytokines. By binding to the shared p40 subunit, ebdarokimab inhibits the signaling pathways of both IL-12 and IL-23, disrupting pro-inflammatory signaling in T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. It is developed primarily for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, with additional clinical development in ulcerative colitis and preclinical investigation in systemic lupus erythematosus. Ebdarokimab is the first Class 1 new drug from Akeso approved for autoimmune diseases and demonstrates rapid onset, durable efficacy, and a favorable safety profile, with infrequent dosing (four subcutaneous injections per year) as a unique feature. It is approved in China for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis and is in Phase I trials for ulcerative colitis[1][3][4][5][6][7][8][10].
