Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A trivalent viral vector vaccine candidate designed to provide protection against Ebola virus, Marburg virus, and Lassa virus. The vaccine utilizes the VesiculoVax platform, which is based on an attenuated Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) vector engineered to express the surface glycoproteins of the three target pathogens. By delivering these antigens, the vaccine aims to elicit both neutralizing antibody and cellular immune responses against these high-consequence viral hemorrhagic fevers. Originally developed by Profectus BioSciences, the program was licensed by Emergent BioSolutions for further development and commercialization as part of their strategic focus on public health threats.
