Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EBP11-F4 is an investigational oral formulation of human parathyroid hormone (1-34), also known as teriparatide, developed by Entera Bio using its proprietary oral delivery technology. This technology is designed to enable the oral administration of large molecules and peptides by utilizing a synthetic absorption enhancer to facilitate transport across the intestinal wall and a protease inhibitor to prevent degradation by digestive enzymes. EBP11-F4 is being evaluated in clinical trials for conditions requiring PTH replacement or bone-building therapy, including hypoparathyroidism, osteoporosis, and bone fractures. As an agonist of the parathyroid hormone receptor 1 (PTH1R), it regulates calcium and phosphate homeostasis and promotes bone formation by stimulating osteoblast activity.
