EBP11-F5

EBP11-F5 is an experimental oral formulation of human parathyroid hormone (1-34), also known as teriparatide, developed by Entera Bio. It is designed using a proprietary technology platform that enables the oral delivery of large molecules and peptides by protecting them from enzymatic degradation in the gastrointestinal tract and enhancing their absorption across the intestinal wall. As a parathyroid hormone receptor agonist, EBP11-F5 mimics the physiological actions of endogenous parathyroid hormone, which is critical for maintaining calcium and phosphate homeostasis and promoting bone formation. The drug has been investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials as a potential treatment for hypoparathyroidism and osteoporosis, aiming to offer a non-invasive alternative to daily subcutaneous injections.
