Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**EBS-UFV-001 (UFluA)** is an investigational universal influenza A vaccine candidate developed by Emergent BioSolutions. It consists of DP-UFluA, a 1:1 mixture of A1-stem stabilized self-assembling nanoparticle (ssnp) and A2-ssnp antigens targeting the conserved stem region of influenza A hemagglutinin to elicit broad, cross-reactive humoral immune responses against diverse influenza A strains, including seasonal and pandemic threats. The vaccine is adjuvanted with aluminum hydroxide and CpG, administered intramuscularly in low (20 µg each antigen) or high (60 µg each antigen) doses as a single dose or two doses 21 days apart, and is currently in a completed Phase 1 trial (NCT05155319) evaluating safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults aged 18-45.[1][2][3][5][7]
