EBV-AST Cell Injection is an investigational adoptive cellular immunotherapy being developed by Daihong Liu at the Chinese PLA General Hospital. The therapy consists of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) antigen-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes generated by ex vivo stimulation and expansion of T cells using peptide-loaded dendritic cells. It is designed to treat EBV-associated lymphoproliferative disorders, including post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) and EBV-positive lymphomas, by restoring immune control over EBV-infected malignant cells. The product can be derived from either autologous or donor T cells and is administered via intravenous infusion to target EBV-infected cells expressing viral antigens.
