Overview

EBV gp350 CAR-T cells are an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) glycoprotein 350 (gp350). Gp350 is a major envelope glycoprotein of EBV and is highly expressed on the surface of cells during the viral lytic cycle and in certain EBV-associated malignancies. Developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, this cell therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to recognize and eliminate cells expressing gp350. It is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory EBV-positive lymphomas, where it aims to provide a targeted immunological response against the virus-driven tumor cells.
