EC001

EC001 is an investigational oncolytic adenovirus developed by the Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences for the treatment of non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Administered via intravesical instillation, EC001 is designed to selectively replicate within and lyse bladder cancer cells, particularly in patients who have failed or are intolerant to standard intravesical therapies like Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) or chemotherapy. The therapy aims to induce direct tumor cell death (oncolysis) and stimulate a localized anti-tumor immune response. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to determine its safety, recommended dosage, and preliminary efficacy in adults seeking bladder preservation.
