Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**EC90** is an investigational therapeutic vaccine consisting of fluorescein isothiocyanate conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin. It was developed by Endocyte to induce anti-fluorescein antibodies as the priming component of folate-hapten immunotherapy. In the treatment strategy studied clinically, EC90 vaccination was administered with the GPI-0100 adjuvant before folate-fluorescein conjugate EC17, enabling anti-fluorescein antibodies to recognize FITC displayed on folate receptor-positive tumor cells. EC90 was evaluated subcutaneously in Phase 1b refractory or metastatic cancer and in a terminated Phase 2 trial in progressive metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
