Overview

ECAR01 is an investigational, autologous dual-target CAR-T cell therapy developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China for refractory autoimmune diseases. Patient T cells are collected and engineered ex vivo to recognize B-cell maturation antigen and CD19, then administered as a one-time intravenous cellular infusion. By directing cytotoxic T-cell activity against CD19-positive B cells and BCMA-positive plasma-cell-lineage cells, ECAR01 is intended to deplete autoreactive B-cell and antibody-producing compartments implicated in rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren's syndrome, and systemic sclerosis. It is being evaluated in an open-label, single-site, dose-escalation study enrolling up to 18 participants. ([clinicaltrials.gov](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07052565))
