Overview
ECC-X is a preclinical-stage oral small molecule antagonist of the Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide Receptor (GIPR) being developed by Eccogene for the treatment of obesity and related metabolic comorbidities. As part of Eccogene's focus on next-generation oral therapeutics for chronic cardiometabolic conditions, ECC-X is designed to modulate the GIP pathway to enhance therapeutic effects. It is intended for use either as a monotherapy or in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists to improve weight management and metabolic outcomes. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
