Overview

ECC4703 is a novel, orally administered small molecule drug under development by Eccogene for the treatment of dyslipidemia and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). It acts as a highly selective, liver-targeting full agonist of thyroid hormone receptor beta (THRβ), showing desired potency and selectivity in preclinical studies. ECC4703 has demonstrated clear target engagement with significant reductions in LDL cholesterol and other atherogenic lipids in early clinical trials. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for both NASH/MASH and dyslipidemia.
