Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ECC4703 F1 is a specific formulation of ECC4703, an orally bioavailable, liver-targeted, selective full agonist of the thyroid hormone receptor beta (THR-β). Developed by Eccogene, ECC4703 is designed to address metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and other cardiometabolic disorders by leveraging the role of THR-β in regulating lipid metabolism, reducing hepatic fat accumulation, and mitigating inflammation. The F1 formulation was evaluated in Phase 1 clinical studies alongside other candidates (F0, F2, and F3) to optimize its pharmacokinetic profile, specifically assessing food effects and relative bioavailability. The parent compound, ECC4703, has progressed into Phase 2 clinical development, including the MOSAIC trial for MASH and the MIST trial for obesity in combination with GLP-1 receptor agonists.
