Overview

Eciruciclib (BPI-1178) is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6). Developed by Beta Pharma, it is designed to arrest the cell cycle in the G1 phase, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells. It is currently being investigated in Phase 1/2a clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR+/HER2-) breast cancer, both as a monotherapy and in combination with endocrine therapies such as fulvestrant or letrozole.
