eciruciclib + fulvestrant

Eciruciclib + fulvestrant is a combination therapy consisting of two distinct drugs used in the treatment of hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Eciruciclib is a cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor, which works by blocking the activity of CDK4 and CDK6 proteins that are involved in cell cycle progression, thereby inhibiting cancer cell proliferation. Fulvestrant is an estrogen receptor antagonist that binds to and degrades the estrogen receptor, leading to inhibition of estrogen signaling pathways critical for the growth of HR-positive breast cancer cells. This combination aims to provide synergistic antitumor effects by targeting both cell cycle regulation and hormone-driven tumor growth.
