Overview
Eclipse Platelet-Rich Plasma (Eclipse PRP) is an autologous platelet concentration system used to prepare platelet-rich plasma from a patient's own peripheral blood. Marketed by Crown Aesthetics, the system utilizes a patented separator gel technology and centrifugation to isolate a high concentration of platelets while effectively removing red blood cells and inflammatory white blood cells. The therapeutic effect is mediated by the concentrated platelets, which, upon injection or application, release a variety of growth factors including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, and EGF. These factors stimulate cellular proliferation, angiogenesis, and collagen synthesis, making the system a staple in aesthetic medicine for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration (androgenetic alopecia), as well as in orthopedic medicine for treating musculoskeletal injuries and osteoarthritis.
