Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ECs315 is a proprietary, full-plant cannabis extract primarily composed of cannabidiol (CBD), developed by Bod Australia Limited. The drug is sourced in collaboration with Swiss botanicals manufacturer Linnea SA and utilizes the patented 'WaferiX' sublingual wafer technology developed by iX Biopharma. This delivery system is designed to enhance the bioavailability and absorption of the phytocomplex compared to traditional oral oil formulations. ECs315 is currently in clinical development, having completed a Phase I study to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers. Its primary therapeutic target is chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), with potential expansion into indications such as multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and anxiety.
