Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ECs315 WaferiX (commercially known as Xativa) is a sublingual cannabis wafer developed by Bod Australia in partnership with iX Biopharma. The product incorporates ECs315, a proprietary full-plant cannabidiol (CBD) extract originally sourced from Swiss herbal extracts company Linnea SA, into iX Biopharma's patented WaferiX sublingual wafer delivery platform. Designed to dissolve rapidly under the tongue, the wafer bypasses gastrointestinal breakdown and first-pass hepatic metabolism, offering faster and more predictable absorption compared to traditional oral oils or sprays. ECs315 WaferiX has been evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics, and is being developed for indications such as chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), anxiety, tremor, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
