ectericid

Ectericid (Ekterytsyd) is an antiseptic and disinfectant agent of natural origin, derived from the water-soluble oxidation products of fish oil (containing a mixture of carbonyl compounds, peroxides, and aldehydes) in an isotonic sodium chloride solution. Developed and manufactured by Biolik Pharma (formerly Farmstandart-Biolik) in Ukraine, Ectericid exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against pyogenic microflora, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., and Staphylococcus aureus (including antibiotic-resistant strains). It is primarily used topically for the treatment of postoperative and traumatic wounds complicated by purulent infections, slow-healing wounds, furuncles, carbuncles, fistulous forms of osteomyelitis, burns, and trophic ulcers with suppuration.
