Overview

EcTIL cells are a form of cell therapy involving the ex vivo expansion and reinfusion of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) that have been engineered or selected for enhanced anti-tumor activity. TIL therapies are designed to harness and amplify the patient’s own immune response against cancer by isolating lymphocytes from tumor tissue, expanding them in vitro, and then administering them back to the patient after preparative conditioning. The "Ec" prefix may indicate a specific engineering or selection process unique to this product, but detailed proprietary information is not available in public sources. TIL therapies are primarily being developed for solid tumors such as melanoma and other cancers refractory to standard treatments.
