Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ED007 is an investigational CAR T-cell therapy being developed by Edity Therapeutics for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapy employs a novel approach where CAR T cells are engineered to deliver AI-designed, constitutively active innate immune sensor proteins—specifically targeting the cGAS, STING, RIG-I, and MDA5 pathways—directly into cancer cells. By activating these intracellular inflammatory signaling pathways, ED007 aims to convert tumor cells into mediators of anti-tumor inflammation, thereby overcoming the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment. As of late 2024, the program is in preclinical development, with in vitro proof-of-concept established and in vivo systemic adoptive cell transfer studies ongoing.
