EDCD-PC exosomes are a novel therapeutic platform consisting of exosomes derived from semi-immortalized dendritic cells pre-conditioned with a Phospholipoproteomic Complex (PLP). Developed by a consortium including the OGRD Alliance and Flowinmunocell-Bioexocell Group, these exosomes are designed to address the immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment (TME). By delivering bioactive molecules, they reduce the levels of immunosuppressive cytokines such as IL-10 and TGF-β and increase pro-inflammatory signals like IFN-γ and TNF-α. Preclinical studies in gastric cancer and melanoma cell lines have demonstrated significant induction of apoptosis via caspase-3 activation. The product is stabilized through lyophilization, allowing for storage at 4°C and eliminating the need for complex cold chain logistics, which facilitates its potential use in resource-limited settings.
