By mimicking the natural process of apoptotic cell clearance (efferocytosis), where phosphatidylserine acts as an "eat-me" signal that promotes an anti-inflammatory environment, the platform aims to reprogram the immune system to tolerate specific autoantigens. This approach is intended for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases by preventing the immune system from attacking the body's own tissues without causing broad immunosuppression.
