Overview

EDI-M403 is a preclinical-stage small molecule developed by the Empire Discovery Institute for the treatment of prostate cancer. It is designed to target androgen receptor (AR) signaling, specifically addressing the AR-V7 splice variant. AR-V7 is a truncated form of the androgen receptor that lacks the ligand-binding domain, rendering it constitutively active and often resistant to conventional androgen deprivation therapies and second-generation anti-androgens like enzalutamide. By targeting both the full-length AR and the AR-V7 variant, EDI-M403 aims to overcome resistance mechanisms in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
