Overview

EDLS-201 is a preclinical-stage therapeutic candidate being developed by Edulis Therapeutics for the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), specifically Ulcerative Colitis. It utilizes a proprietary endoscopic drug delivery platform consisting of a bioresorbable polymer implant, thinner than a grain of rice, that is placed locally in the gastrointestinal tract. This system is designed to provide sustained release of a small-molecule medication for up to 12 months, improving local bioavailability and reducing systemic exposure compared to oral formulations. The program is supported by a strategic partnership with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation and received the Litwin IBD Pioneers grant.
