EDO-1-127 is a small molecule BRCA1-mimetic and an analog of 2,6-dibenzyl-5-phenylpyrimidin-4-amine (A9). Developed by researchers at Georgetown University, EDO-1-127 is designed to inhibit estrogen receptor alpha (ER-1/ESR1) activity, mimicking the tumor suppressor function of BRCA1. In preclinical studies, it has demonstrated potent inhibition of estrogen-stimulated estrogen response element (ERE)-luciferase activity, making it a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of breast cancer.
