Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EDP001 is a multispecific T-cell engager (TCE) developed by Genor Biopharma for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. The molecule is designed to simultaneously target CD3 on T cells and two distinct B-cell antigens: CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). By engaging both CD19 and BCMA, EDP001 aims to achieve a more comprehensive depletion of pathogenic B-cell lineages, including mature B cells and long-lived plasma cells, which are often responsible for the production of autoantibodies in refractory autoimmune conditions. This dual-targeting approach via a T-cell engager modality redirects T-cell cytotoxicity to eliminate these B-cell populations, potentially offering a more potent therapeutic effect than single-antigen targeting strategies.
