EDX-110

EDX-110 is a topical nitric oxide-generating gel system developed by Edixomed Ltd for the treatment of various wound types, including superficial partial-thickness burns and skin graft donor sites. The system consists of two separate gel components—typically a nitrite-containing gel and an acidified buffer gel—which, when mixed upon application to the wound, react to release therapeutic levels of nitric oxide (NO) directly to the wound bed. Nitric oxide serves as a potent broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent and a critical signaling molecule in the wound healing cascade. It promotes vasodilation through the activation of soluble guanylate cyclase, stimulates fibroblast and keratinocyte proliferation, and modulates the inflammatory response to accelerate tissue regeneration and reduce the risk of infection in acute and chronic wounds.
