Overview

EF-M2 (Immutalon) is an investigational biologic therapy being developed by S.LAB (SOLOWAYS) for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis. It functions as a macrophage-modulating agent that targets the C-type lectin domain family 10 member A (CLEC10A) receptor. By engaging this pathway, EF-M2 induces the repolarization of macrophages from a pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype to an anti-inflammatory, 'healing' M2-like state. This mechanism is intended to resolve chronic inflammation and promote tissue repair within the joints. The drug is currently being evaluated in a first-in-human Phase I/IIa clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacodynamic effects, including changes in M2-associated cell phenotypes and cytokine ratios.
