Overview

Effecti-Cal is a multi-source calcium supplement developed by Jamieson Wellness to support bone health and prevent osteoporosis. The formulation features a complex of calcium from five different sources—carbonate, citrate, fumarate, malate, and succinate—to enhance bioavailability and ensure consistent elemental calcium delivery. It is typically co-formulated with Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which acts as an agonist for the Vitamin D receptor (VDR) to stimulate the synthesis of calcium-transporting proteins in the intestine, thereby increasing calcium absorption. By maintaining adequate serum calcium levels and supporting bone mineral density, Effecti-Cal helps reduce the risk of fractures and supports overall musculoskeletal function.
